What is a Same-Day Restoration?
Normally, placing a dental crown, inlay or onlay requires more than one visit to the dentist, but by using CEREC technology, our dentists can perform the entire procedure in one easy visit.
CEREC (Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics) is a system that allows for the fabrication of same-day ceramic dental restorations. Our Melfort dentists use CEREC technology to place crowns, veneers, inlays and onlays in just one appointment.
Dental Crowns
Crowns are porcelain caps that are placed on top of teeth to restore their function and appearance. Crowns are used to attach bridges, cover implants, repair a cracked tooth, or restore a discoloured tooth to its natural appearance.
Veneers
Veneers are very thin pieces of durable, tooth-shaped porcelain that are custom-made and bonded to the front of your natural tooth to help improve the symmetry, shape or colour of your smile.
Inlays & Onlays
Inlays and onlays are tooth-coloured porcelain fillings that are used to repair cavities when the damage is too extensive for a standard dental filling, and are typically used for molars.
